Bobby (Roberta) Ellis
"Don't Care Bobby" arrives in the summer term and is immediately accepted and liked by the other girls for her straightforward, boyish manner and sense of fun. She hooks up with Janet, another tomboy and the two spend their time planning tricks and jokes together. At first Bobby doesn't work at all, and comes bottom of the form, but once she is given a serious talk by Miss Theobald, she begins to concentrate more on her schoolwork. She doesn't lose her sense of fun, though, and provides amusement for her form throughout her time at St. Clare's.
