Bill (Wilhelmina)
Bill arrives in Darrell's third year at Malory towers. She causes a sensation from the outset, arriving on horseback and demanding that the girls and teacher call her Bill! Bill is horse mad and is so 'horse-sick' when she first arrives that she is quite miserable and behaves rather deceitfully in order to spend as much time as possible with her beloved horse, Thunder. Hpwever the girls can't help liking Bill and she soon settles down to life at school. She even finds a friend in her arch enemy, form mistress Miss Peters.
In Upper Fourth Bill becomes best freinds with Clarissa, another horse mad girl and the two decide to open a riding school together when they leave Malory Towers.
