What is RSS?

What is it?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a way of subscribing to a news service so that you can be informed of updates. It is often used in blogs and is available in news sites such as BBC News.

How do I Access RSS?
First, you need a program called a feed reader. There are several available, some free and some that you have to pay for. We recommend you try one of the following programs:

How Do I Add a Feed To My Reader?
Click Me
Once you have a reader and installed it, you right click on the RSS Icon () and select the copy shortcut from the menu (Apple Mac users may have to do this differently). Then, inside your chosen program, select New Feed. (NOTE: this may vary from program to program) If the program does not automatically detect the address, right click in the address field and select paste. Then follow the instructions on screen.

What Now?
Usually the Feed Reader updates every hour or so. When we add new books or a news item to our site, you will be notified automatically by your chosen program.
